Max Kohyt – (born 1970) composer, improvising musician, involved in experimental, contemporary, theatre and ballet music.
For several years, he has been collaborating with multimedia artist Katarzyna Podpora. In the duet PODPORA/KOHYT they have recorded the albums: „Chapel Music”, „Di Strada”, „Nights Are Numbered”. In 2020, they invited Michał Jacaszek to collaborate and together they recorded the album JACASZEK/PODPORA/KOHYT. In 2021, together with Maja Miro, they recorded the album „MID_EVIL”. All releases were produced by the BOCIAN RECORDS label. In recent years he has composed music for theatre and ballet performances, and also wrote music for the opera „IMAGINE… SCHOPENHAUER’S PICNIC”. He was a multiple cultural scholarship holder of the city of Gdańsk and a member of the Polish Electroacoustic Music Association.
